Bump Ahead: Everly Grey Maternity ~ Giveaway

I was seriously prepared to suffer through another nine months of maternity clothing that fit poorly and was less-than-inspiring. Then I discovered so many great brands that actually know how to make a growing mama look and feel great! Everly Grey is one of those brands! I have found this Sophia Maxi dress (pictured above) absolutely comfortable to wear! The soft heather grey fabric drapes nicely and flows as you walk. While a bit dressy maybe for a “house dress” it is great for chasing a toddler around because it’s so stretchy! This is a column dress, not a typical A-line so I’d recommend sizing up if you are curvy on bottom (I had to! ha ha!)! The braided shoulder straps and tie on belt add subtle detailing. (ARV $74). Check out another favorite outfit of mine – both from Everly Grey. The Madison top in Marine, has a sweet side bow, fluttery sleeves, and a casual burnout stripe detail. This top is light as air, perfect for humid summer days ahead! (ARV $50).

Paired with these crisp-white, cropped Carrie pants, you have a summer hit! The sateen cotton crop pants have a wide elastic panel in the back that is very stretchy. Two faux back pockets give a bit of interest, and the front will ride lower under your belly when you’re bigger. These pants are so great, I wish they carried them in more colors! (ARV $64).

Bump Ahead: Sweet Pea Maternity $25 Gift Card Giveaway

Do the price tags on maternity clothes leave you gasping for breath (and clinging to your wallet for dear life)? It’s safe to say most maternity clothing is over $30 per item… generally a lot more.

Now, I think if you love a piece, and it’s high quality, it can be worth paying the extra money. But most people I know can’t afford to have an entire wardrobe of pricey maternity clothing! So I’m happy to introduce Sweet Pea Maternity, a shop that carries affordable, trendy maternity clothes!

Sweet Pea Maternity sent me this light and airy mint green floral maternity tank top for review. I love the silky, flowy feeling of this blouse. It’s totally non-restrictive which feels great! The layered ruffles on top add interest and balance out the big bump I’m sporting! The shirt is long enough so I’m not showing belly underneath, which I appreciate! It’s a great top for any summer occasion – pair with a skirt for dress up or capris for a casual, cool, look!

At Sweet Pea Maternity, you’ll find a huge variety of tops, skirts and dresses. I love how there are pages and pages of styles to look through, and each piece is unique in color, detailing, and silhouette! One aspect of their shop that impresses me is they are one of a few places to find colorful maternity skirts that aren’t mini! I think they could build up their selection of pants and shorts though as the choices there are more practical and basic pieces – good for building your maternity wardrobe, but I’d love to see a few fun items mixed in too!

Here’s some more maternity clothes I thought were cute for summer mamas-to-be! I am VERY into the Maxi Dress and Skirt!

If you’re looking for cheap maternity clothes, you can stock up your wardrobe at Sweet Pea Maternity because the highest price is around $34, but most items are under $20. And their clearance section has even bigger deals! Just act fast, because I noticed items don’t stay in stock in all sizes for long, although Sweet Pea tries to bring back stock as fast as they can. I think in a way this can be a good thing, because it means their fashions are constantly fresh and you’ll always find new items you’ll love!

Spring colors from Fresh Produce Clothing

Best part of spring? The COLOR popping up everywhere… including my wardrobe!

Coral has long been a favorite color of mine – I think it brightens up pale skin like mine. And it gives the perfectly breezy feeling to spring clothing.

Fresh Produce Clothing – how did I not know about them before now? – sent me this lightweight cardigan. Perfectly named because it’s helping me transition from chilly late-winter to warming early spring. I throw it on over solids, with prints… it with so many of my outfits because the soft lines can be casual, but the pointelle detailing adds interest so you’re not totally dressing down.

And… it’s perfect for me being pregnant because it doesn’t “button up” but falls loosely on each side… my belly can grow, but I can still wear this fashionable top! The Seasons Change Cardigan comes in NINE colors in neutrals, pastels, and brights.

I’m definitely interested to see the fall line at Fresh Produce, because once I have this baby, I’ll want a little wardrobe update for fall/winter! Right now, I like this tiered skirt and women’s top striped hoodie – seems like a great outfit for a mommy with a newborn, doesn’t it? I’m putting it on my wishlist!

Fresh Produce clothing has been around for three decades, boasting original prints, bright olor, easy-wear pieces, and a coastal feel. And they have a kids’ collection! Most of their clothing is manufactured here in the USA! I really like that their look is upbeat and fun, but with a feminine side that isn’t overly revealing. It’s just clothing regular women can feel comfortable wearing every day!
