Cloth Diaper Friday :: Project Pomona Cloth Diaper Jeans ~ a #FluffyXmas Sponsor

8 Flares 8 Flares ×

A huge disappointment for me with using cloth diapers was finding out a lot of baby clothes don’t fit well over a bulky cloth diaper! Waaahhhh!

This is especially true of baby jeans…they are so slim fitting. Shouldn’t my little guys get to wear baby jeans AND cloth diapers?

Project Pomona thought so. So they set out to create real jeans for cloth diapered babies. Or any kind of diaper.

I got to check out these cloth diaper friendly jeans with a pair of their City Jeans – a black jean with a little stretch in the fabric, plus a colorful cuff (3 color options!). I love the thoughtful details in the PP jeans I received.

From a generously stretchy back elastic, to roomy “bum” area! These jeans fit so great over my son’s fluff-diapered bum! The contrast stitch detailing is superb and authentic as well.┬áLike little man jeans!

The front opening of the diaper is especially considerate of cloth diapered babies. It snaps open on both sides, so you have a large opening. No more struggling to force too-tight pants on over a diaper.

Okay so the jeans fit great. And that’s great. Right?

Wait for it… wait for it… these jeans fit through THREE traditional children’s sizes!! I know. I couldn’t believe it. But even my chunka-monkahas fit into his PP jeans from 10 lbs to 16 lbs so far and he’s STILL on the first snap setting!! Check out the photo of the opening, and you’ll see there are many waist snaps so these pants adjust to your baby’s size! Saving you money!!

Oh yes, there’s more! Like chic denim washes. Fold up cuffs lined with fun colors and prints. Even sweet embroidery and coordinating onesies and tees.

Project Pomona is really a whole line of cute baby clothing…just with the added perk of being cloth diaper friendly. They have shorts too! What CD mama has NOT struggled to wedge their baby’s diaper into a teeny pair of baby shorts – I am going to have to get my baby a pair of those next summer!

And…I also happily tested out a prototype for a flannel lined version of Project Pomona jeans due to come out next year! Cute AND cozy!! What more could you ask for?

Oh, a giveaway, you say? You got it! Come back tomorrow to enter the Merry Fluffy Christmas Giveaway. Project Pomona is one of my awesome sponsors and will be giving away a pair of cloth diaper friendly jeans!!

Pick out your own pair of Project Pomona jeans! Retailing from $28-32 depending on accents. (But hurry! To get them by Christmas you need to order by December 9th!). And follow them on Facebook and Twitter!

Thanks to Project Pomona for sending product for review and offering a giveaway! All opinions are 100% my own.

We definitely need a pair of these with winter coming! None of DD’s jeans fit.

Sarah FuhrmannDecember 7, 2012 - 10:10 pm

love love love these pants!

JulieDecember 7, 2012 - 8:33 pm

I totally agree with you. The inability to fit into some articles of clothing is one of the few things I don’t like about cloth diapering.

Charlotte RDecember 7, 2012 - 7:05 pm

What a unique front opening! I have actually never seen that before :-) What a great idea.

meegan whitfordDecember 7, 2012 - 4:51 pm

these are so adorable and look like they would fit perfectly!

Rebecca R.December 7, 2012 - 1:32 pm

genius! my first was also in cloth, and because the jeans didn’t fit right, he usually just hung out in his diaper. I would love to have a pair!

Lily IveyDecember 7, 2012 - 12:01 pm

I love Project Pomona jeans. I had one pair and it was misplaced. I think it got left behind when traveling and I would love to replace it.

DeborahDecember 7, 2012 - 9:23 am

I love baby jeans — especially on baby boys! ;) And the back snap is a great idea!

kristi balibreraDecember 7, 2012 - 9:16 am

Love the back snap! Very cool idea

Ashley SantillanesDecember 7, 2012 - 1:27 am

I wish I would of heard of this sooner It would be great to win some but I just have to buy a pair. my 5 month old can only fit size 12m jeans and they just don’t fit right. Cant’ wait to try these.

Melinda CDecember 6, 2012 - 11:49 pm

I LOVE Project Pomona. Greatest pants for a cloth diapering mom ever. They are so cute and functional.

RachelDecember 6, 2012 - 9:54 pm

The waist snaps are very different! That’s great that they are making things for cloth diapered kids:)

Melissa MickelDecember 6, 2012 - 7:37 pm

I love the way the waist setting is! Definitely something I will be looking into getting once my child gets a little older!

judiDecember 6, 2012 - 7:25 pm

I just love these jeans so much! I wish I could afford a pair. I’ve found that even disposable diapered babies don’t fit into jeans very well. All the jeans I’ve ever been given for my babies didn’t fit very well for very long. The Pomona jeans are pricey but a great value!

Kiera C.December 6, 2012 - 3:29 pm

I love that these pants fit through multiple sizes. Baby clothes are so expensive and he grows out of them so quick. The cloth diapers don’t help much with the quick outgrowing. These sound perfect!

Michelle FergusonDecember 6, 2012 - 8:38 am

These are so cute and I really need to get some for my 12m old son’s fluffy bum! None of his other jeans fit well over his cloth diapers!

I love these little pants!

Heather MDecember 5, 2012 - 9:32 am

I think their pants are so adorable! I really really want a pair!

Beth ReesDecember 4, 2012 - 7:42 pm

Guinevere SDecember 4, 2012 - 4:35 pm

I have never seen these before but I think that they are pretty darn cool!

Olivia LDecember 4, 2012 - 1:04 am

I’ve seen these before and love how adjustable they are. It’s hard to justify spending a lot of money on jeans that will be outgrown in a few months, but these seem worth it as they last so much longer.

Kristi CartwrightDecember 4, 2012 - 12:09 am

I hadn’t heard of these before but now I definitely want to get some for my little man who will be here next month! I am a new mom who is excited about cloth diapering for the first time…and of course all the other fun parenting firsts!! :)

Andrew L.December 3, 2012 - 9:28 pm

How great is this idea? Love having something I know would fit over even our bulky diapers.

Jennifer JohansenDecember 3, 2012 - 7:54 pm

Wow, these are great! I wish I’d had a pair or two when my kids were smaller!

Amy @ Oh So Savvy MomDecember 3, 2012 - 6:07 pm

Those jeans are adorable! I didn’t realize it would be hard to find good fitting pants over cloth diapers as I am new to the whole CD world – so I learned something new.

Rachel JohnsonDecember 3, 2012 - 11:51 am

Cute Jeans. Gonna try to win some for my son!

I love these so much! I hope to get a chance to try them out!

Rachel RameyDecember 2, 2012 - 3:49 pm

What a brilliant idea! We’ve had fit issues, too. (Now if we could just manufacturers to catch on to MAMAS’ fit issues and design clothes to tackle those, too, we’d be in REALLY good shape! lol)

hollylynnDecember 2, 2012 - 2:58 pm

These are a fantastic idea! Even after finding reg clothes that fit over cloth diapers its a struggle to get them on and off. These look super easy.

nicole lewisDecember 2, 2012 - 2:31 pm

these jeans are adorable, i will be ordering some for my sister’s baby shower :-)

Julie GhristDecember 2, 2012 - 11:49 am

Debnmike mDecember 2, 2012 - 10:10 am

These are a great idea and adorable!!,

kim johnsonDecember 2, 2012 - 1:05 am

I love that these fit 3 sizes. A year later we still have 0-3mth clth popping up in random places. It would be nice to have things fit longer

Rachel NDecember 2, 2012 - 12:26 am

I have a pair of these for my baby girl but she isn’t here yet to try them on:) Excited to see the pictures of how they fit! I think I may be adding more to her wardrobe:)

Michelle J.December 2, 2012 - 12:17 am

When I first stumbled upon Project Pomona jeans, I did not understand the appeal. Then I started checking out the site and noticed how they were sized. These are GENIUS! I hope to win a pair, but if I don’t, this is a definite future purchase!

Amanda AlvaradoDecember 1, 2012 - 11:56 pm

I just received a pair today! I got a size one (positive thinking!!) for our next baby(still not yet). Dd was upset that they didn’t come in her size! LOL She wants a pair too! :-)

Claiborne SnyderDecember 1, 2012 - 10:19 pm

How smart! I love jeans on a little baby and these make it much easier

Andrea K.December 1, 2012 - 9:42 pm

I have a pair of these for my little one and I love them. I went with a neutral cuff so they go with EVERYTHING. I think on my next pair I will go with a bright cuff just for the variety.

Kiersten W.December 1, 2012 - 9:28 pm

I love these! It is SO hard to find pants to go over my baby’s fluffy butt.

Adrianne BDecember 1, 2012 - 10:14 am

The back closures on those jeans are JEANious!! I really like the dark rinse and the contrasting cuff!

Lauren CDecember 1, 2012 - 9:40 am

These are awesome! I love how they are made to fit over a fluffy bum and adjust to fit longer! I wish more companies would catch on and make clothes a better fit and more adjustable!

Johanna @ Mama ChocolateDecember 1, 2012 - 4:30 am

Love how they adjust in size to last so long! And yay for cloth-diaper-friendly pants to accommodate the fluffy butts! ;-)

What cute pants! I too have trouble finding pants that fit over cloth diapers. These look great – I love the way they unsnap to give you plenty of room to get them on and off. And the adjustable waist is great too.

Jen BreedloveNovember 30, 2012 - 3:28 pm

So cute! And functional! Love the range of sizes and the colorful cuffs.

Sarah JaneNovember 30, 2012 - 12:58 pm

My daughter has a pair, and they’re wonderful. I’d get some more for her, but she’s over three feet tall and we’ll be potty training her after Christmas.

Jessica ANovember 30, 2012 - 11:48 am

These are seriously the cutest jeans and oh, so creative! I will definitely be trying to win a pair of these! :)

Trisha W.November 30, 2012 - 11:16 am

That waist band design is genius! Some grown-ups attending parties could benefit from that as well. ;)

Crunchy Beach MamaNovember 30, 2012 - 8:55 am
