I didn’t realize pregnancy did such a number on me!

I’ve determined (through two personal studies, LOL!) that pregnancy is quite hard on me! I get a lot of morning sickness, back fatigue, hip/joint pain, and even migraines (which are supposed to go away when pregnant, I heard!).

While I do love the whole beauty of creating a life (and belly bumps are my favorite!), it’s definitely a relief to have the baby out, and get back to my regular self. Except…

Pregnancy continues to haunt me in various parts of the body! After the birth, blood tests showed I had super low blood cell count! (I felt weak and short of breath). The doctor said if my other vital signs hadn’t been so good, she would have recommended a blood transfusion, but… as it was, she just put me on iron supplements, which seem to be helping. Another area out of wack is my tastebuds and digestion!

That’s why I’m taking probiotics! Probiotics are live microorganisms taken to improve health. Basically, good bacteria!

Women, particularly, can have their good bacteria and digestive system disrupted by hormonal changes… like pregnancy! When the good vs. bad bacteria are imbalanced, you may experience discomfort in your digestive and feminine health. Taking probiotics can help!I’ve been taking Provella probiotic dietary supplements for the past month. Provella is specially formulated for women, with 6 different bacterial strains. The Provella supplement is designed with controlled-release technology to get it safely past stomach acids before the probiotics begin working.

Once past your upper digestive tract, Provella supports healthy digestion and proper immunity in the lower digestive and urogenital tract. By inhibiting bad bacteria, natural “good” flora can flourish! (Psst, men can take it too, and benefit, but it was designed with women in mind).

Here’s a Q & A video about Provella:

Since I feel like I had a rougher time physically with this pregnancy than with my first, I’m dedicating myself to getting healthy, head to toe… and sometimes, inside-out! I think taking Provella daily is helping me out with that goal!

If you want to try Provella, take advantage of this $6 off Provella coupon! Purchase Provella at major pharmacies (no prescription needed) and find Provella at DrugStore.com.

I am glad that you are focusing some attention on you. It is tough adjusting to life as a mom of two so it is even more important to also focus on one’s own health. I am smiling.

I know lots of folks who take lots of supplements and even try their best to eat healthy. I think eating a healthy well-balanced lifestyle is key. However, where I find that a lot of people fall short is taking the time to exercise. I’m big into ensuring all of us in my family workout. Even the American Academy of Pediatrics has set guidelines for exercise in children, even as young as toddlers. Supplements and organic food can be good but they do not help the heart quite like 20 minutes of cardio most days of the week.

I think chiropractic is really important. My chiro is hours away so I haven’t been for a few months. Also haven’t slept on my right side since I was about 8 months pregnant as my lower back hurts sooo bad. I thought it would go away after birth but nope :(

We have smoothies 1-2x a day and it has greens, probiotic, minerals, fiber and oil in it. That’s the most important thing I do besides drink water. I definitely need to get on the fitness bandwagon though, any suggestions for that?!
