This event is brought you by our exclusive event sponsor: A Mother’s Boutique!
You may have noticed A Mother’s Boutique has sponsored my entire Bump Ahead event! That’s because Judy, the owner is committed to providing moms and expectant moms the best products and customer service to help them get ready for any motherhood challenge! I’m grateful to have had this experience working with Judy and A Mother’s Boutique for the event. Not only has the sponsorship helped my blog keep bringing you great giveaways, but Judy is a wealth of information on just about any brand of maternity gear!
I could talk about the range of maternity clothing at A Mother’s Boutique, like Cake Lingerie, Annee Matthew and Mothers En Vogue.
Or the breastfeeding accessories, breastpumps, slings, organic clothing… or Judy’s own great Breastfeeding Tips for New Moms or advice on Working and Breastfeeding (click the links to read the full-color PDF brochures! Some great information there!).
But today I want to share a very unique experience I had with A Mother’s Boutique Virtual Bra Fitting service.
My first time breastfeeding, I went through at least six or seven different brands of nursing bras. Finding a good bra on a normal day is hard enough, but when you’re breastfeeding and need it to fit AND function… good luck!
Here’s where Judy from A Mother’s Boutique comes to the rescue! She created a Virtual Bra Fitting page on her blog to help women find the perfect bra for any stage of motherhood. Five simple questions allow her to determine the best selection of bras for each client. I thought it would end there, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received my bra suggestions (she sent me four!), each one had a personalized description attached!
Each bra suggestion came with a detailed description of why that bra might fit my needs, and even if there was a feature that might not quite fit what I had been looking for. So I could weight the pros/cons of each bra and select the ones I thought would work best. I appreciated hearing more than just a sales pitch – it was honestly one woman to another discussing bra fit/function.
Judy sent me my two bra choices to review, the Mesh Plunge Bralet from Bella Materna and the La Leche League Vanessa Bra. I ended up really liking both! Here’s my reaction to each bra:

.jpg)
The La Leche League Vanessa Bra has elegant lines and lies smooth under clothing (which was a bra requirement I put into my Virtual Bra Fitting questionaire, because I hate having rumples of lace/fabric from my bra showing through my clothing). Also a soft-cup non-underwire bra good for breastfeeding. I like how the bra has a low profile and spaghetti straps, sort of “balconette” style, making it the perfect summer tank top / tshirt bra. As the description online states, the band DOES run very small on this bra, and I found the size I measured for is just a smidgen tighter than I’d prefer even on the last hook/eye setting.
But how great is the customer service at A Mother’s Boutique? When I mentioned the tight band issue on the Vanessa Bra, Judy was kind enough to send me the next band size up to try, and a bigger cup size to make room for when my milk comes in. However, the cups were just way bigger than I think I will ever get even nursing. So I’m sticking with the original bra and using a bra extender until after I give birth. I seem to have a lot of “bra band” issues!
But I think it’s from my expanded rib cage due to pregnancy as my rib cage is usually really small.
So there you have it – you CAN find a good bra fit online with A Mother’s Boutique Virtual Bra Fitting service! Don’t you think it’s a wonderful feature of the store? I do! Spread the word around to your friends, because I am sure all women have similar issues trying to find a good bra (especially when a lot of the good brands for breastfeeding are only sold online!). Oh and, the Virtual Bra Fitting is a free service!!

I think the Virtual Bra Fittings is a great idea. It’s not always easy to find a bra that fits really well. I can’t wait to see what they recommend for me.

I love the fitting guide. It is so hard with different brands of bra to know exactly how they will fit especially buying online. I would have never bought a bra online before but this makes it so easy
This one is adorable: http://www.mothersboutique.com/organicbra.html

I think that the virtual bra fitting guide is great for those trying to decide which size they should get.
I think the Tess underwire looks nice. I like something with extra support.
It’s so hard to decide what I might get. I like the Nursing Bra Top with Lace Trim, but doubt I’d get that since I have so many camis. I also like the virtual fitting guide and find it helpful.

I think the virtual fitting is a great idea! You don’t have to worry about leaving the house during nap time or lugging kids out to the store and have them run around while you try to get fitted. With being pregnant again after nursing my first, I’m sure I’m not wearing the correct size bra so this would be awesome to win!
These look real nice. I am entering for my nephews wife, expecting in September so not sure of sizing or what she may like but I know she plans on nursing
I like the smooth underwire nursing bra.

A virtual Bra fitting? That would be awesome! I have had so much trouble finding a comfortable and well fitting nursing bra and after trying almost a dozen I just figured that I was a weird size and there wasn’t a bra that fit me out there. So I’ve been making due with what I have because trying new ones because of the cost of nursing bra’s is not possible for me. The testimonials of the Virtual Bra Fitter sound great so I would love to try it out.

I actually love the Bella Materna brand. I have a nursing nightgown from them and it’s my absolute favorite. (I wear it almost nightly).
As such, I’d love to try the Anytime Tee-Shirt Bralet or the Mesh Plunge Bralet. They look especially comfy/ideal for sleeping.

I like the Lamaze fitted nursing bra!
I’d like the Everyday Organic Nursing Bra
I think the virtual bra fitting is great, ive never been fitted before do I could use a “virtual” fitting!
I think for shy women the virtual bra fitting is perfect as long as they know how to measure themselves. I love that instead of just asking for those measurement numbers there are more questions to help you get a better fit out of your bra.

There are so many nice ones. Lots of options. Love the licorice lace one!
This bra looks super comfy (http://www.mothersboutique.com/tesonubra.html)! They have lots of nice ones, don’t they?
The virtual fitter sounds great; I need all the help I can get!
I think the fitting guide is wonderful since it takes the guesswork out of bra shopping online. I have purchased online before and ended up disappointed because sizing always seems to be different from one brand to the next. I am really loving the Lamaze Lace Underwire Nursing Bra and the Mesh Plunge Bralet…the both look functional while still being very pretty. I am so tired of frumpy looking nursing bras and these are beautiful!
