Tot Explorations: Make a Sticker Book!

Here’s a super easy activity to do with/for your kids – make them a sticker/activity book!

I am totally stealing this idea from my sister-in-law (thanks!). She created this AWESOME sticker book for my niece… I didn’t have as many lovely card stock papers but I am going to stock up next time I see anything on clearance.

I loved this sticker book idea, because I kept having my son put stickers on a blank piece of paper… then a day or so later, the paper would be crinkled or ripped, and I’d throw it out. The enjoyment was very short-lived!

With this sticker book, kids can have fun applying stickers to various pages, go back later and add more, or create a new page. They can flip through their book and enjoy the stickers.

Or you can create games like “I Spy,” counting, or color identification with the stickers they’ve already used! You could even tell a silly story using the stickers from page to page!

Using various printed card stock sheets adds more fun – kids can match the background to the types of stickers they’re using (snowflake background for some winter stickers, perhaps?).

Plus, you know those sticker sets where kids create a scene or decorate a face? Now they can keep and enjoy their artwork!

I also added a section for those coloring sheets I’m always printing out for various holidays and seasons. I don’t usually bring out the crayons with this book, but it’s a good place to store them so I don’t have to hunt!

Having the stickers stored right in the notebook is convenient, so everything is in one place – makes this a handy item to grab for long car rides, doctor visits, etc.

Materials needed:

  • Cardstock – various colors/prints are good
  • 3 ring binder
  • A few page protectors (for storage)
  • A zipper pencil pouch (for storage)
  • Tab dividers (optional)
  • Printed out coloring pages
  1. Super simple – hole punch the card stock and insert into the binder.
  2. Stash your sticker sheets in the page protectors. For small or individual stickers, zip them up in the pencil pouch!
  3. Use tab dividers to section off for categories of stickers, or for adding coloring pages if desired.

Enjoy!

Any other thoughts about how to use this kind of activity book? Have you ever created an activity book or sticker idea for your kids? Please share!
